With the current health concerns for social distancing and keeping everyone well, all group activities are set aside for now. However, after May 11 we can play golf on our course with some well thought out planning and rules of play. This will be posted at the course kiosk. We're following the Govenor's 2.0 guidelines. We recommend you wear your mask on the course.
August 2011
Pine Road Pros took the Annual Battle of the Roads Golf Tournament for the second year. Oak Lane and Aspen Lane gave a good contest, if not in scores then in good fun.
The Forest Meadows Golf League of LFR provided a cook out and the handsome winners' plaque was created by Earl Toof. The winning team will hang the plaque at the top of their street.

A rare catch
August 2011
Mark had a real surprise, as he hung on to this at the end of his 14lb line, after a 20 minute contest. This lake trout was almost 18 lbs and 36 inches long. What could be better? He followed that with a great game of golf later that morning. A catch to remember a life time!
May 2009 The last weekend of the month. Saturday was absolutely beautiful. Sunday started off a little hazy, but calm, and the fishermen were out on Great East Lake. Mike from North Berwick found a nice Rainbow trout.
May 2009 A bright, beautiful Memorial Day. A Rally on the field with the Good Sam Blazers and a few kayakers from Lake Forest gliding over the lake. An eagle flew along the shore last weekend, early in the morning. And evenings have brought loon calls across the lake; campers can hear them from their sites. A new seasonal cottage is almost completed and the owners looking forward to moving in. There are also several park model homes for sale in the rest of the park. Forest Meadows Golf League members are signing up and looking forward to walking the nine holes with friends and just a little competition thrown in for sport. Flowers are coming out everywhere as campers open up, dust off and fix up for summer. Looking forward to a hearty beef stew at the Hobo Supper June 6.
Sunrise on Great East Lake
...And at the end of the weekend and the fireworks, the lake was once again a place for daydreaming. 7/17/08
This
week at Lake Forest was hazy and humid, and many of our campers could
be found at the lake from early morning until late evening. A new park
model home was also moved into the resort mid-week.

Happy Fourth! 7/4/06
This weekend at camp was a busy one! Lake Forest was packed for the
fourth and celebrated with our annual chicken BBQ and game
tournaments. The weather was warm and sunny and there was a steady
breeze for the sunfish fleet to cruise the lake. The waterfront was
busy with swimmers and boaters taking advantage of the gorgeous weather.
A quiet sail in the Rhodes 19
June 2006 6/12/06
This weekend New Hampshire had three counties under flooding watches
but our brave rally arrived on schedule and gathered despite the rain.
These diehard vacationers packed their golashes and ponchos and spent
the weekend at the lake and had a cheerful breakfast gathering in our
clubhouse. Sanctioned golf took place as scheduled
with individual play in two sessions--one in the morning and one in the
afternoon. The rain broke this weekend and this Sunday and Monday
the guys were busy making up for lost time pulling down trees and
assembling Dura-Bilt rooms. Some of the seasonal residents came down
to the lake to catch the sun and go fishing.

Happy
Father's Day!! This weekend is the Father's Day Picnic at Lake Forest
to celebrate our dads. Father and resort owner Dave Mankus took the
afternoon off to have a sail on Great East Lake with friend and World
Championships sailor, Paul. As the season officially changes from
spring to summer, the temperature is reaching 90 degrees and everyone
is hitting the lake.
6/20/06 At
the lake we had an intimidating-looking thunderstorm yesterday, that
brought a few hailstones and gusts of wind around 30 miles an hour.
Shortly after dinner-hour the sky turned dark and flashes of lightening
lit up the cloud formations.

5/29 We had a packed Memorial Day at Lake Forest, with every site filled. There was a break in the chilly weather with highs of near 80 degrees. Boats spashed on the lake for the first time this season and the golf league started off their sanctioned play on Saturday morning.
